Bundle up and swap out those winter clothes! Join us at Greenleaf Park on October 18 from 2–5 PM for our Winter Clothing Swap, hosted in partnership with the Franklin School. This free event is open to families with children ages 0–5, and no donation is required to shop — come find your family's next favorite sweater, coat, or pair of boots! If you'd like to donate clean, gently used winter clothing and shoes ahead of the swap, drop-off bins will be at the Franklin or MFR lobbies from October 5–16. See you there!

Space is limited, please register using this link: https://www.thekitchenmelrose.com/event-details-registration/private-event-for-melrose-family-room-only-2 The MFR is partnering up with our friends at The Kitchen (1 Hurd Street, Melrose)! On Tuesday October 20th from 4:3pm-6:30pm, your little ones are invited to our member-only Pizza Making Party! Chefs-in-training will have the chance to hone their dough rolling, mixing, and cutting skills (with kid-safe equipment) -- and finish off their creation with their favorite toppings. The best part? Everyone gets to enjoy their pizza at the end of class! The details: The cost of this class is $35 per child and is intended for children ages 3-6. Each child must be accompanied by a caregiver/sous chef for the duration of the class. No more than two children per family, please. Due to the size of the space, registration is limited to 18 children. Have a child with gluten troubles? We've got you! Other allergies? Please note them when signing up and The Kitchen staff will do their best to accommodate.

After you trick or treat in the Melrose Downtown, come on down to the family room for a dance party! Wear your costumes and bring your dance moves. We’ll order pizza, have some Halloween treats, and make some spooky crafts.  If you plan on snacking on Halloween candy… Remember that MFR is nut free! RSVP so we have an idea of how much pizza we need to order!

Due to the Fall Fair at the church, the Melrose Family Room is closed from 8-5 on Saturday 11/14. The Fall Fair is the church's biggest event and definitely a family friendly event if you'd like to check it out! 

Members, join us for a movie night!    On Saturday 11/14, the church will have their fall fair! MFR is closed during the day due to their event (which you should come check out!). After the fair is done for the day, MFR will be open for a movie night!    Come watch Paddington, and don’t forget to bring your teddy bear for a teddy bear parade! We plan to have some teddy grahams to snack on while we hang out. Hope to see you there!
