Join us in kicking off the new membership year of the Melrose Family Room on 9/27 from 3-5pm! We will be celebrating at the Melrose Family Room, in the large assembly hall upstairs.    Come dressed as royalty or a superhero to meet Elsa and Spiderman. We'll have fun dancing, singing, snacking, crafting, and more!   We look forward to welcoming back returning families and getting to know our new member families!  

Book your Fall Family Photo Mini Session today! Photos will take place on October 4, 2026 at Pine Banks Park in 15-minute increments between 9am-12pm.  A photo session is priced at $125 and includes 15-minutes with photographer Raj Das of ED Photography and 10 beautifully edited images. Packages are limited and do sell out, so book your spot today! 

Join us for a special presentation with a pelvic floor physical therapist from Boston Pelvic Physical Therapy! Have questions about your postpartum body? They’ll cover topics you’re interested in, from pelvic floor health and postpartum recovery to core strengthening and returning to exercise. Bring your questions — they’ll tailor the conversation to the group! Little ones are welcome to come play while you attend! This event is free for MFR members. Please RSVP so we know how many families to expect!

Space is limited, please register using this link: https://www.thekitchenmelrose.com/event-details-registration/private-event-for-melrose-family-room-only-2 The MFR is partnering up with our friends at The Kitchen (1 Hurd Street, Melrose)! On Tuesday October 20th from 4:3pm-6:30pm, your little ones are invited to our member-only Pizza Making Party! Chefs-in-training will have the chance to hone their dough rolling, mixing, and cutting skills (with kid-safe equipment) -- and finish off their creation with their favorite toppings. The best part? Everyone gets to enjoy their pizza at the end of class! The details: The cost of this class is $35 per child and is intended for children ages 3-6. Each child must be accompanied by a caregiver/sous chef for the duration of the class. No more than two children per family, please. Due to the size of the space, registration is limited to 18 children. Have a child with gluten troubles? We've got you! Other allergies? Please note them when signing up and The Kitchen staff will do their best to accommodate.
