Sunday, August 11, 9-11 am Join us for our annual summer gathering with MFR community at the Hall Memorial Pool and Splash Pad! The Hall Memorial Splash Pad in Stoneham has graciously allowed MFR members early entry at 9 a.m. (before it's open to the public!). Kids get in FREE (paid for by MFR), adults are $3/person.    Please register so we can provide a head count to the splash pad!   Email with questions or to volunteer to help with the event: events@melrosefamilyroom.org

Storytime, craft, and open play

Join us for storytime, crafts, and open play! If your family enjoys The Very Hungry Caterpillar, this day is for you!  Please RSVP so we know how many supplies are needed.  Volunteers needed! If you plan to bring your kiddos and want to get in some volunteering, please send an email to coordinate! We could use help monitoring the kiddos with the crafts to help them along and a quick cleanup. Email events@melrosefamilyroom.org and we will coordinate with you!  Thank you so much. We are hosting an open house on Saturday, June 22 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This drop-in open house is an opportunity for prospective members to visit the room and learn more about our cooperative. Feel free to bring an interested family to the room.    The room is still open to all members!

Join us for open play at the Melrose Family Room as we kick off summer and celebrate Juneteenth! We'll have snacks, music, crafts, sensory bins, and storytime.  Volunteers needed! If you plan to bring your kiddos and want to get in some volunteering, this is an easy one! Pea Planting at our Community Garden Plot!
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
On Saturday, 4/13, at 10:30a.m*., Lihlani Skipper Nelson and Oliva Cerf will be hosting a pea planting activity at the MFR's community garden bed! Bring a lil' shovel for your kiddo if you've got one; if not, we'll share. *Rain date is 4/14 at 10:30.  We will email all that are registered if we have to use the rain date!  ***The Melrose Community Garden is located in Franklin Field behind the Whole Foods/CVS/Kennedy's Ice Cream plaza and the Franklin School. (Google Map in the link). You can actually see the rows of garden beds in the image near Albion St.) It's easiest to park at the back of Kennedy's and walk through the fields.
