Did you know that the Melrose Family Room is celebrating its 35th year of serving families in the community? All past and current members are invited to celebrate this milestone on Saturday, March 9 from 7:00-10:00 pm at Temple Beth Shalom, 21 East Foster Street in Melrose. The auction includes more 35 items (see what we did there?!) collectively worth more than $7,000, including unlimited pizza for a year, box seats to the Red Sox, massage/haircut/spa packages, and more. All proceeds from the online auction and 35th anniversary fundraiser will be used to reinvest in the room, expand programming, and to provide room “scholarships” for families in need.

Join us Friday morning for a drop-in play group.  We will welcome March with a story time, art craft and play time!  We are lucky to have a former preschool teacher and Melrose Family Room member, lead us in the events on Friday.   The room is open to all and these events will just be going on in the room.  Hope to see you Friday.

Join us for a family friendly movie.  Popcorn will be provided for this special event! No food or drinks are allowed on the carpeted area of the Family Room.     Feel free to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy in the tiled area. Also feel free to bring small kiddie chairs or blankets to sit on in the carpeted area. Volunteers....Planning to bring your kiddos and want to get in some volunteering, this is an easy one! We could use help serving the kiddos and a quick cleanup.  Email events@melrosefamilyroom.org and we will coordinate with you!  Thank you so much. 60 people will be our limit so the room doesn't get too crowded.  1 person per ticket.  RSVP today!

Hi Members, We appreciate you.  Love is in the air! Let's celebrate it! The MFR will be hosting a Member Appreciation Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 9th at 5 p.m. We'll have pizza, snacks and heart themed crafts.  We have generous support from local companies for some parent treats and mocktails!  Two Knives and a Pan can help answer that dreaded question of What's for dinner? They are a local meal delivery service and you can try some of their appetizers and desserts.  Have you done dry January? Keep it going with Raising the Bar's elevated mocktails.  Try them out at our event and you can sign up for monthly box kits delivered to your door.  Please RSVP so we know how much food and drink. Also, if you are still looking for an easy way to finish off that volunteer requirement, we may have some light clean up after the party, please email us at events@melrosefamilyroom.org. This is an appreciation of our community event so if it doesn't sound fun, then just join us for what does! Sending some February love your way.
